Recently I came across two wonderful videos, which discuss arguably the most often (ab)used cliche in modern videogames: the damsel in distress. The cliche is used so often that it raises a set of serious concerns about the culture of women representation in videogames.
While the first video establishes definitions, shows the first glimpse of vast amount of games where the trope is used, and gives some initial thoughts for inquisitive minds to ponder, it is the second video which really strikes and disturbs, especially as it goes much beyond the videogames per se.
